What does it do
The Quality Process Management system implements your standards, guidelines, protocols, policy etc as online active-diagrams and hyperlinked text within a database environment. The system is maintained typically by department managers and clerical assistants with ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR technical knowledge, HTML, web skills, TCP/IP etc. .
A 'virtual bookshelf' is at the heart of the systems with one or more books on it - say for quality, health & safety, emergency, governance, finance etc. A book can consist of any number of topics with each topic made up of 1-100 pages depending on content. This is a fast and organised method for storing large amounts of information
Easy, read-only access for all staff from every PC on your network will allow your staff to gain valuable help and guidance for every process in your organisation with clear, easy to follow text, diagrams and pictures.
Navigating through information is easier than the web for a start you don't have spurious distractions. You can follow hyperlinks between topics and between books. All entries on the Table of Contents, Index, Glossary etc are hyperlinks and there are three search facilities: simple, advanced and search within last results.
The system automatically produces a Table of Contents (TOC), Index, Glossary and Picture Gallery. The TOC is hierarchic and can have sections, chapters, topics and glossary definitions included. Each entry in any of these automatically produced lists is hyperlinked to its related object. .
The system automatically cross-references every page with every other page in the book and so finds all potential links. Each link is automatically highlighted in green/underline and it's 'hyperjump' is autoamtically generated. Dead links are not possible. If topics are removed all cross references to them are treated as plain text (no longer hypertext). Similarly, when topics are added, existing text referencing them, are made into hypertext
Manual links can also be added and 'Hotspots' can be created on diagrams and pictures which can also hyperlink to other objects. Inter-book hyperlinks can also be created to enable a reader to jump seemlessly from one book to another. External links can also be made to say Word, Excel, video sound in fact any external application .
Personal training schedules, ToDo tasks, Actrions etc can all be accessed through the system including access to training delegates who can fill-in online feedback and course ratings.
The system is designed for ease of use with no training required for read-only users..
